Lawn Renovation Perth

A thinning, patchy lawn is rarely a lost cause. Our lawn renovation service brings tired turf back to a thick, even lawn without pulling it up and starting again, built around how sandy Perth soil actually behaves.

We work across Perth's northern suburbs, from Alkimos and Eglinton through to Mindarie and Burns Beach, so if your lawn has stopped bouncing back after summer, our team can likely help.

Grass after a lawn renovation
The Signs

Is your lawn due for a renovation?

A few signs are worth watching for: thinning or bare patches, built-up dead material below healthy growth, weeds crowding out healthy grass, a hard or spongy soil surface, and water that sits on top instead of soaking in. Any one of these points to a lawn that needs more than a regular mow, and it is exactly the kind of job our team handles.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend Michael from Integrity Hedging & Gardens! We recently had another landscaper come out to edge our lawns and do a general tidy-up before our property in Alkimos was presented, but unfortunately, the job was completely botched and the gardens were left looking worse than before. I called Michael from Integrity Hedging & Gardens in the hope that he could help, and he absolutely came to the rescue! He understood the urgency and managed to fit us in quickly. Considering the state the gardens had been left in, the transformation was incredible. Michael edged all the lawns and steppers beautifully, levelled everything out and made the entire property look immaculate. The edges are now so crisp and neat, and his attention to detail was second to none. He arrived on time, worked incredibly hard, and cleaned up after himself, leaving the property spotless. We honestly couldn't be happier with the result and are so grateful that Michael was able to come to our rescue at short notice. I would highly recommend Integrity Hedging & Gardens to anyone looking for quality work and exceptional attention to detail!

As a child along side his Fa and as an adult my husband grew fruit and vegetables for Perth Markets. Apprehensive at first as It was our first time using a Gardening Service. Of my three quotes I chose Integrity and they did not disappoint. Michael and John were polite, gave time to get to know their customer whilst maintaining their professionalism. Can’t stop admiring their work. Two happy customers.

I had a fantastic experience with Integrity H & G. The team are clearly passionate about what they do, and are experienced in how to turn a garden from a wild and unruly jungle (mine) to a respectable and tidy front yard (now mine). I feel like they approached the job with as much care as they would for their own garden and were excited as I was to see the end result. Professional, experienced, and happy to answer any questions. Job was done in a timely manner. Highly recommend.

Great work.. I had 2 x 15m hedges along our back fences that were looking sad; overgrown, unkept & not structured as I would like. We are in the depths of a major backyard reno & Michael & his offsider did a wonderful job trimming them back so that they will flourish & can become a feature in our new garden. I would highly recommend.
Local Expertise

Built for Perth's soil and conditions

integrity-lifestyle-s12

Most of the soil across Perth's northern suburbs is sand, and sand has a habit of turning hydrophobic, where water runs straight across the surface instead of soaking in. It is a common problem on sandy Perth lawns, and one a mow and a feed alone will not fix.

Add a long growing season running from August through to May, everyday foot traffic, and the odd curl grub or armyworm outbreak, and it is easy to see why lawns here need more attention than a generic lawn care guide accounts for. Our renovation techniques are built around North Perth conditions specifically, from soil type through to the grasses that actually thrive here.

When we recommend renovating

Late spring through summer is the window we typically book renovations in. Warm-season grasses like couch, kikuyu, and buffalo are actively growing as the soil temperatures rise, so your lawn recovers quickly instead of sitting stressed in a dormant season.

If your lawn also needs new turf, early autumn gives it the best run at establishing before winter sets in. Either way, it is worth knowing your watering days, since consistent watering after a renovation makes a real difference to how well it takes.

FAQs

Have a question?

What time of year is best for lawn renovation?

Spring and early autumn. Both sit within the growing season for Perth's warm-season grasses, so the lawn recovers fast instead of sitting bare and exposed. Winter renovations tend to take longer to show results, since growth has slowed right down.
